Local Radio and TV broadcasters pay hundreds of millions of dollars annually to these societies. From negotiations of license agreements to litigation with existing and new PROs, the RMLC and TVMLC strive to maintain reasonable music performance license fees on behalf of the Radio and TV industry. Bill Velez, RMLC’s Executive Director, and Janet McHugh, TVMLC’s Executive Director will answer your frequently asked questions about music licensing in the broadcasting industry - Who decides what my station pays for music performances licenses?
