OBS OPERATOR/PRODUCER FOR WYOMING HS RODEO

CONTRACT OBS OPERATOR/PRODUCER FOR WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL RODEO

LIVE-STREAMED ON MYLOCALRODEO.COM

We’re looking for the right person to produce our live-streaming of Wyoming High School Rodeo using the OBS Studio (Open Broadcast Software) – the program that allows you to switch cameras, add graphics and bring the rodeo to life for fans watching online.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Run the live-stream during the regular season rodeos in the Fall and Spring and the first week in June for the State Finals

  • Switch between cameras and graphics in real-time

  • Work closely with the On-Air talent and the Camera Operators

  • Help create an exciting viewing experience for the viewing audience

WHAT WE ARE REALLY LOOKING FOR:

  • A trustworthy, reliable team player with a willingness to learn

  • Someone comfortable with computer programs and an ability to operate them in a time-sensitive environment and open to training

  • Someone with the ability to trouble-shoot on the go

  • Ability to work rodeo nights and weekends

  • Ability to travel extensively to cover the entire state of Wyoming

 

PAY: 

  • Contract employment paid per day worked on the 5th and 20th of each month.  Travel expenses (hotel, fuel, meals) is paid or reimbursed on the 5th and 20th, as well.

No rodeo knowledge or prior experience is necessary – we will train the right candidate on everything you need to know.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR/MORNING SHOW HOST

WyoToday Media is seeking a Program Director to lead programming across our five radio stations in Fremont County. 

Position Overview:
The Program Director ensures engaging, high-quality content across all stations, while maintaining compliance with FCC, BMI, and ASCAP regulations. This position also hosts the morning drive show on KTAK 93.9FM, produces video ads, and represents our stations at live remotes and community events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming & On-Air:
    • Develop and execute programming strategies tailored to each station’s brand and audience.
    • Host the morning drive show on KTAK 93.9FM.
    • Manage on-air talent and schedule engaging guest appearances.
    • Complete affidavits for contracted programs and ensure barter agreements are met.
    • Attend and represent stations at live remotes and promotional events

  •  Set up and program mobile sports streaming kits using Open Broadcast Software

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Oversee FCC filings, including quarterly public file reports.

    • Political ad documentation & filing

    • Ensure music reporting is accurate and submitted on time to BMI and ASCAP.

    • Regular EAS Oversight and Yearly Tests

  • Creative Production:
    • Edit, film, and produce video advertisements, promos and content

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead on-air and support staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
    • Partner with sales to deliver seamless promotions and quality broadcasts.
    Qualifications:

  • Experience in radio programming and on-air performance.
    Strong knowledge of FCC, EAS, BMI, and ASCAP requirements.

  • Proficiency in video editing and production software.

  • Willingness to attend live remote broadcasts and community events.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage creative talent.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Talk Show Host /Ops. Mgr.

Big Horn Basin Media in beautiful Cody, Wyoming has an immediate opportunity
for a morning talk show host/Ops. Manager for the legendary KODI AM/FM.
Previous talk-show experience preferred but not required. Responsibilities
include providing commentary, and entertainment to engage listeners. Including
production, remote appearances and creating original content, for both on-air
and the KODI station website. Conduct interviews with guests, and community
