CREATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR
NewsChannel 5, the CBS affiliate in Cheyenne,
Wyoming, has an immediate opening for a
Creative Services Director. Primary duties
include management of the creative services
department and production of client commercials and
station promos for our Cheyenne, WY; Fort Collins, CO;
and Scottsbluff, NE television stations. In addition,
the director is also responsible for creating and
posting online content through the station web content
management system.
Qualified applicants for this exciting, hands-on
position must be self-driven, must hold a degree in
video production or equivalent experience in producing
video, and have proven script writing, professional
lighting, professional HD video, and non-linear editing
skills.
Necessary software experience includes,
but is not limited to, Final Cut Pro 7, Soundtrack Pro,
Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and both the Mac and
PC computer operating systems. Additional preference
will be given to those applicants who have had
experience with Adobe After Effects, Soundtrack Pro, FTP
transfer, web development, and technical
troubleshooting.
Applicants must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds and
posses a valid driver's license.

Job Description:
The chief engineer is responsible for the
technology necessary to put the station's broadcast
"on-the-air" within the station's licensed range. The
engineer works to maintain existing broadcasting
capabilities and provide quick solutions to problems
that may arise with the transmitter, tower, satellite
receiver and other related equipment.. Must be able to
work unsupervised and be on call 24/7. Will be
responsible for paperwork necessary to comply with FCC
rules and regulations. Should be able to work closely
with other staff and preform some training when
necessary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb a
ladder. Must have a valid driver’s license. Some
transmitter sites are remote and frequently require
methods other than a standard vehicle to access so must
know or be willing to learn operation of a
snowmobile/ATV.
Applicant should have a working knowledge of all aspects
of the broadcast chain to include:
Basic electronics, ability to troubleshoot to component
level
High and low power transmitters, both AM and FM

Both analog and digital audio

Transmitter remote control systems, Burk and

Wyoming and operator of KFBC-AM, KOLT-FM (92.9 The Boss)
and the Cowboy State News Network is looking for an
experienced news reporter.
Successful candidate should have a minimum of three
years reporting experience covering local and statewide
news, a network quality on air presentation, and be a
highly motivated self starter. Candidates should also
have an even disposition, be able to work effectively
under pressure, be an effective writer (broadcast and
