Broadcast IT Engineer

KGWN-TV has an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Broadcast IT Engineer at our station in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. This position involves maintaining broadcast equipment and systems at the studio and transmitter site. The candidate will work closely with other engineering and operations staff and will report directly to the Chief Engineer.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Repair electronic equipment
· Maintain computer based A/V equipment
· Assist with remote productions
· Maintain ENG equipment
· Provide support for news editing and cameras
· Install and set up new broadcast equipment

Qualifications and Requirements:
· Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision
· Be able to communicate effectively and efficiently and receive instructions over the phone
· Able to read technical materials
· Must be flexible and accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends and evenings
· Ability to lift 50-lbs without assistance
· Associates Degree in Electronics and/or IT preferred

Director of Sales
Basin Radio Network and Bighorn Mountain Radio Network of Northeast Wyoming is growing and with that growth comes new opportunities for a Director of Sales for our Gillette/Buffalo/Sheridan radio stations.

We’re looking for a leader who will be responsible for day to day station sales operations and achieving revenue goals of our two markets.

We’re looking for someone who can lead our cluster’s sales department inclusive of among other things, managing inventory, pricing, recruiting and hiring staff and maintaining a very high degree of market visibility.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a great deal of emphasis on being engaged and active with our Account Executives in front of clients and not in the office.

You’ll report to the Market Manager for the market and work together to grow the revenue of this important group of stations for our company.

There will be a lot of other duties as assigned or initiated by you and a valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required because we cover a lot of ground with these stations.

Ideally we’re looking for an individual with 10 + years of General Sales or Local Sales Management experience in today’s Radio environment. A verifiable track record of creating new ideas, working strategically with other members of a team, and generating revenues is required for all to be considered.

Advertising Account Representative
As an Advertising Account Representative, you will sell advertising air time on all four WyoRadio Stations (KQSW, KSIT,KMRZ KRKK) to new and existing clients by contacting potential and existing customers regarding their advertising needs. You will also be required to write scripts for ads, production orders, sales proposals and contracts as well as collect accounts receivables generated by your client’s advertising orders
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
One to three years of sales experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Knowledge of basic office equipment and computer skills.
Must own motor vehicle to be able to visit clients to make sales.

This is a regular, full-time position that is fully commissioned based. A base salary, plus the potential for commissioned earnings is offered for the first 90 days of employment. A Competitive benefits package is also offered.
