SPORTS DIRECTOR,
Lyman, Wyoming

Do play by play for two high schools, including but not limited to: football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, legion baseball, etc. Interview coaches, students, athletes, etc. Must be able to follow a broadcast format, post interviews and articles to internet, audio and video production, etc. Other tasks as necessary for multiple weekly broadcasts. Video stream other school activities. This is a very small market and the right person will be a star that everyone in the area knows and likes. This person will work with both teachers and students and must be able to pass a background check as required by the school district.

Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation. At least two years experience in broadcasting and play by play. Understand audio and video mixing and production software. Be able to put together and take down broadcast and video equipment at the game sites.

Production Assistant
KGWN, CBS Newschannel 5 in Cheyenne Wyoming is seeking a hard working, trust worthy applicant to fill the open position of Production Assistant. Production Assistants are responsible for master control, camera operations during news casts and Audio board operations during news casts.
Master Control responsibilities may include
Monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the station’s high standards. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and preparing programming for play out. Perform on-air switching for live events. Operate recording hardware, satellite receivers and computer based systems. Prepare and check material for on-air playback via automation system. Verify all material airing by referencing program logs. Monitor on-air signals for quality control Monitor transmitter and tower lights accurately to meet FCC regulations. Anticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occur. Perform other duties as assigned
Camera operations responsibilities may include:
Assembling, preparing and setting up equipment and the studio prior to newscasts, which may include, monitors, lighting, cables and headsets. Planning shots, and offering advice on the visual impact created by particular shots. Practicing the camera moves required for pre-arranged shots. Studying rundowns. Finding solutions to technical or other practical problems. Being prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas. Working quickly, especially as timing is such an important factor; Taking sole responsibility in situations where only one camera operator is involved. Using hand cues to communicate with talent. Repairing and maintaining equipment.
Audio operator’s responsibilities may include
Preparation of the audio board and equipment for shows, as well as maintain the quality of sound throughout the newscast. Audio ops are responsible for checking sound levels on microphones and other audio equipment functionality, including running sound checks, repairing and troubleshooting sound equipment, as well as maintaining the work area for other members of the production staff to ensure safety and productivity. Audio operators help organize cues to perfect the order of execution for effects, music, and other sounds by referencing their show rundowns.
Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma
TV operation experience preferred but not required
Work well within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Possess strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Computer literate and technically oriented
Self-motivated, and a fast learner
Exhibit a professional attitude at all times and be able to perform in a high-pressure environment
Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
Available shift may include overnights, weekends and holidays.

Talk Show Host
We are searching for our next talk show host in Gillette Wyoming. Be a part of a 6 station cluster and company of 18 stations strong in Wyoming. Candidates must be able to produce and execute a local, local, local morning show with many community guests and be involved in the community. Career consists of a morning show, production and some live remotes. At times you will fill in for our local news man. Experience preferred, but not required.
